Irritability

Fussiness is common when your child does not feel well. It can be a sign of something more serious if your child does not calm down with the usual measures you take when they are upset. If they are fussy, but calm down when you hold them, it is reassuring that nothing serious is going on. If you think your child is in pain, you could give a dose of acetaminophen (if child is greater than 2 months old) or ibuprofen (if child is greater than 6 months old). If your child is inconsolable, won't calm down no matter what you do, call the Doctor on call at (513)523-2156.
